From the 17th to the 23rd October 2021, Dubai Expo will hold the space-focused thematic week. The space week is set to be one of the many thought-breaking experiences and discussions, further pushing the frontier of imagination. Mauritius is also a contributor in building the global space experience, with the deployment to orbit of MIR Sat 1 onboard Space X22 Rocket Falcon 9. MIR Sat 1 is the first Mauritian Nanosatellite and will be collecting data on satellite health, payload data and experimenting island to island communication. On 17 October the Mauritius pavilion will unveil the 1U cubesat to Expo visitors and participating countries by hosting an unveiling ceremony in the Pavilion. Mauritius will continue its space adventure by participating at the BIE-Cosmos Prize in collaboration with the MRIC on MIR Sat 1.
